Product Marketing Director­ - Location: Modiin, Israel

Dustphotonics is looking to add to its management team an experienced Product marketing Director.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree (Electrical, Mechanical, Optical, etc). MBA degree is a plus.
  • Minimum 10 years of work experience, of which at least 5 years of Product Management Experience in either the Optical Components, Networking Systems, Integrated Circuits or related industries is required.
  • Strong leadership skills. Ability to influence and lead other organizations that have no formal reporting structure.
  • High technical orientation - must.
  • Excellent English - Highly articulated and clear in both speaking and writing - mother tongue level an advantage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications.
  • Detail oriented, highly meticulous and perceptive.
  • Good ability for multi-tasking and performance under pressure.
  • Self-organized, learning, process-driven, analytical and problem-solving skills and also a great team player.
  • Global experience: familiar with the benefits and challenges of working with people around the world.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Identify and quantify market opportunities for Dust Photonics products.
  • Define detailed customer requirements for products.
  • Frequently meetings with customers.
  • Work closely with R&D to resolve trade-offs between product schedules, product requirements and customer requirements.
  • Recommend new product roadmaps to management based on customer input and R&D capabilities.
  • Analyze competitors strategies, technology and products.
  • Develop product positioning and messaging informed by user research, market insights, and product understanding.
  • Manage product pricing.
  • Plan and take part in the launch of new products.
  • Communicate new products and features, prepare product content such as presentations, white papers, case studies, and website content.
  • Communicate product development delivery schedules and coordinate allocations of new product shipments as required.
  • Manage and create the contents of sales and marketing materials. Creation of technical product documentation such as datasheets, application notes, product presentations, declaration, FAQs.
  • Draft press releases and coordinate trade shows activities for product.

DustPhotonics is growing and looking for a Junior physicist to join our Silicon Photonics department.

 

Responsibilities:


Own the silicon-photonics laser testing platform.

·   develop the test platform capabilities and analyze data to enable product development.

·      Drive characterization of photonics and laser devices over temperature for power, noise, and other attributes.

·      Design and carry out experiments for mapping device performance.


Requires previous experience:

·      2~5 years of experience working at R&D groups at multidisciplinary and high-tech companies.

·      Preferably, experience working for optical, or semiconductor technological companies.


Required Skills:

·      Good understanding of optics and photonics.

·      Experienced in preparation and execution of test plans, Data analysis and DOE.

·      Advantage - Hands-on experience with laser and photonics test at wafer, bar, and chip level.

·      Programming skills, python an advantage.

·      Good grasp of Statistical analysis methods and tools.

We are looking for a Mechanical Team Leader to join its mechanical engineering group and be a key player in the mechanical development of optical connectivity products.

The position requires the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment, working closely with Hardware Engineers, physicists, process engineers and Product managers.

Requirements:

  1. B.Sc. in mechanical engineering from known institution
  2. +6 years' experience in the development of complex multi-disciplinary mechanical systems
  3. Experience in the following fields:
  • Opto-Mechanics design
  • Thermal simulations
  • Electronic packaging - must
  • Machining - Must
  • Excellent knowledge & experience with Solidworks – must
  • Experience in drawings and production files preparation – must
  • Define and design tools and fixtures for mass production – advantage

Computers & software:

We are looking for a Process Development Engineer

Previous Experience:

  • 5 + years of experience as a Process Development Engineer in R&D groups, ideally at commercial FAB companies.
  • Experience in development of CMOS Fabrication process – Dry/Wet Etching, metallization, wafer bonding, III-V materials deposition
  • Experience in Silicon photonics device fabrication – an advantage.
  • Experience in Carrying out Failure Analysis investigations for Micro-electronics – an advantage.

 Required Skills:

  • Manufacturing and Data Analysis: Statistics, DOE, JMP
  • Python/MATLAB/LabVIEW – an advantage.
  • Silicon fabrication processes - an advantage

 Education:

  • Advanced degree in Engineering or Physics
  • Own and define all process steps in advanced Silicon-photonics device fabrication – beginning at the CMOS Level, through the backend process and up to the packaging and testing phases.
  • Control the Product development process, from prototype to transfer to production.
  • Optimize designs, process, and methods for mass production.


Laboratory Technician­ - Location: Modiin, Israel

These days DustPhotonics is looking for an Optical Lab Technician to join our R&D team and to participate in the production of advanced optical communication devices.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and work with laboratory equipment, tools, supplies, and materials
  • Maintain the lab area and equipment in a safe and organized manner
  • Basic lab equipment maintenance as scheduled and in accordance with lab/equipment manual specifications
  • Perform multiple concurrent tasks at several different equipment stations in order to maintain acceptable job flow
  • Read, comprehend and follow technical manuals and protocols
  • Fill out all assigned reporting forms in a timely manner
  • Read and interpret prescription specifications.
  • 1-2 years of experience of working in a lab or technical setting
  • Experience working in an optical lab or electronic assembly (e.g. wirebond, soldering) is an advantage. 
  • Must possess excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills
  • Ability to operate lab equipment
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to identify and solve problems, and facilitate problem-solving
  • Attention to detail
  • Time management skills - Ability to prioritize and work quickly and efficiently when there are multiple customers to assist
