DustPhotonics is growing and looking for a Physicist - Expert in diode lasers for our Photonics Devices Team.


Requirements & Responsibilities:

Expert in diode lasers with deep knowledge in laser physics and characterization methods (communication industry - advantage).

  1. Ph.D. on laser diodes/MSc with relevant experience
  2. Experience in lab work


The role will include:

  1. Ownership of all laser performance and testing and reliability across the company
  2. Work with external suppliers to develop a laser for our Silicon Photonics program
  3. Design and build testing stations for automated laser characterization


The role is ‘hands-on’ (!)

Board Designer­ - Location: Modiin, Israel

These days, during COVID-19 pandemic, DustPhotonics continues to grow and is looking for 

a Board Designer to join our HW Team.

 

Responsibilities:

Design High-speed (50GHz) boards. Incl' DSP, MCU, Lasers and Laser drivers. HDI technologies.

Design Test boards to support bring-up and production phases.

System ownership - work with all groups - mechanic, optics, SW and NPI to bring the product form design to GA.

 

Requirements:

BSc in electrical engineering.

Minimum of 6 years’ experience in board design.

Designing products from architecture to mass production, responsible for all development phases.

A target-guided missile!

Experienced in:

High-speed board design and layout considerations.

Digital and analog circuit design.

Knowledge in DC/DC switching regulators design and layout considerations.

Rapid prototypes.

Failure Analysis Manager­ - Location: Modiin, Israel

We are looking for an ambitious and passionate FA/RMA manager with experience in leading FA and RMA processes and reliability processes.

As a FA/RMA manager, you will be responsible on increasing the product quality, analyzing failures and lab work.

Responsibilities

· Manage FA and RMA processes

· Manage product qualification

· Recommend design and production improvements to enhance product reliability and yield

· Prototype build and transfer to production (NPI)

· Manage lab equipment, employees, supplies and documentation

Requirements:

· B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in material / Electrical Engineering, Physics or equivalent.

· At least 5 years of hands-on skills as a failure analysis engineer in R&D environment, including 2 years in a lead role.

· Experience in prototype building

· Experience in lab management

· Good knowledge in statistical tools and quality tools (such as FMEA, Cause and Effect Diagram, 8D etc.).

· Experience with data analysis tools, such as Tableau, JMP, Minitab etc.

· Excellent English communication skills both in speaking and writing.

· Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

· Excellent technical capability, verbal and written documentation skills.

System Validation engineer­ - Location: Modiin, Israel

DustPhotonics is growing and looking for a talented System Validation Engineer to join our system validation team.

 

Responsibilities:

  • An expert and technical lead, responsible for the validation and verification of DustPhotonics electro-optical Designs.
  • Defining, planning and performing optical and electrical tests based on the industry standards (IEEE 802.3 & OIF) and customers’ requests.
  • Leading complex debugs of system problems.

 

Requirements:

  • BSc in electrical engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in hardware testing of electrical/electro-optical products
  • Experience in network communication
  • Experience with generating test cases and bug tracking
  • Experience with test & measurement such as oscilloscopes, traffic/signal generators, Vector-Network and spectrum analyzers 
  • Familiarity with the high-speed industry (>10 Gb/s) - an advantage
  • Familiarity with the transceivers related IEEE standards - an advantage

Machine Operator­ - Location: Modiin, Israel

Today we are looking for a skilled Machine Operator to set up, maintain and operate machinery. 

You’ll ensure the interminable and efficient running of production.

A great machine operator is reliable and able to work with attention to details and safety standards.

On-the-job training is a good way to discover how to do the job better, so you should have willingness to learn and improve. Being a team player is essential since all tasks will require close collaboration with co-workers.

The goal will be to ensure that production procedures will be carried on smoothly to maximize efficiency and profits.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle
  • Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed)
  • Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines
  • Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools
  • Test operation of machines periodically
  • Fix issues that might occur during the shift
  • Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws
  • Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
  • Maintain activity logs

Requirements:

  • Must possess excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills
  • Understanding of production procedures
  • Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals
  • Analytical skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Teamwork and communication skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus
RFIC Design Engineer­ - Location: Modiin, Israel

The Silicon Photonics Team is looking for an RFIC Design Engineer that will be responsible for test and characterization of advanced photonics devices for RF circuits, including DC, RF, and Load Pull characterization.

Develop test procedures and strategies to carry out system testing, as well as design test fixtures for system testing.

Skill Set Desired

  • MS, or BS with 2+ years of experience in relevant technical disciplines
  • Perform RF load-pull characterization of devices. This includes performing system calibration, test fixture development/assembly, and data collection of power sweeps and load-pull contours.
  • Signal integrity design experience - an advantage.
  • Perform s-parameter characterization of devices using a network analyzer.
  • Assemble and tune broadband and narrow-band test circuits to support both design and test engineering.
  • Perform RF and DC characterization of devices as required using either an automated or manual probe station.
  • Strong background and hands-on experience in RF testing including load pull, s-parameters, noise, and power testing.
  • Required a hands-on approach to solving problems, including working in the lab to debug circuit designs, test issues, and perform custom RF testing.
  • Required strong background in test bench setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance to ensure data integrity.
  • Understanding of semiconductor physics.
